JERICHO – Trombone Feature

Trombone feature ‘Jericho’, is based on the well-known traditional American Spiritual, Joshua fit the battle of Jericho. It is set in a uptempo swing idiom and is a good showcase for the trombone section, available in a three or four soloist version.

‘Jericho’ was written in July 2013 at the request of Bandmaster Jonathan Corry and was premiered at The Salvation Army’s UKI Territorial Music School in August, 2013.

In order to suit all bands, the downloadable file includes score and parts for trombone quartet as well as score and parts for trombone trio. Parts for the rest of the band are the same. This means if your band normally perform with 4 trombonists and one is absent, you have the flexibility to perform it as a trombone trio.
